Needle Lace Oya Necklace

Nowadays, many Turkish women make needle lace themselves. They know many different lace techniques. Turkish lace work created all over Anatolia since 17th century. This work reflects Anatolian women's patience, creativity and devotion


Young people enjoy wearing bracelets, necklaces, earrings and belts. Older people may, out of tradition, put away oya laced bed linen, towels and prayer head scarves in a classical bridal trousseau for their daughters.


This beautiful necklace's color are purple, lilac and yellow. Flowers are made of high quality yarn, each flower made by using a sewing needle and then connected to each other with a crocheted cord. The crochet cord connecting the flowers is green.

This item is a unique OOAK (One of a Kind) piece.

I love Summer Fruits

Do you like summer fruits? If you ask me this question, I can say "Yes!" I love all summer fruits. My family go to the our villa-summer house-bond house (I don't know which word is true!) every summer. We have a lot of fruit tree like apple, cherry, peach, plum, mulberry, apricot.. What are your favourite fruits? Mine is strawberry, peach, plum and green apple :)

I just finished reading "A Thousand Splendid Suns". A Thousand Splendid Suns is beautiful. I read a huge number of books but this is a wonderful wonderful! It was an amazing book, and I do not remember the last time a book has touched me like this one did. I had tears in my eyes while reading the last chapters, and I must say, I've never cried while reading a book before. It gave me a new understanding of events that were happening in Afhganistan. Khaled Hosseinı is a great writer. You must read it!

Evet nihayet Aşk-ı Memnu serüveni son buldu. Dizi hakkındaki yorumlarımı kendime saklayıp sizi Nihal'in kına gecesinde çalan bu harika hint müziği ile baş başa bırakıyorum. Kendisi Slumdog Millionaire filminin soundtracklarından Ringa Ringa.

3. Günceli takip edeceksin. Haber izle, dergi, kitap, gazete oku. Gündemi yakala. Her konuda kendini update et. Yeni çıkan kitapları da bil, yeni açılan lokantaları da, bu sene moda olan renkleri de.

4. Evlilik ise şart değil, kafanı takma. Gerekli de değil. Hatta şöyle söyleyeyim: One problem less! (Bir problem eksik!)

5. Çocuk meselesine gelince... Ha işte, burada akan sular duruyor. Yapabiliyorsan yap. Birini bu kadar çok sevmek, onun sorumluluğunu taşımak sadece onu değil, seni de mutlu eder. More Time Please

Hi! I know, I should spend more time for my blog (and my Etsy Shop!) I create many items but I couldn't take pictures of them and I am planning to write something about myself/my job/my life/İstanbul and maybe Etsy tips. I just need more time! (uuhh) As soon as possible I'll do something about my blog and Etsy Shop!

Fazlaca yoğun geçen günlerde zaman ayırabildiğim şeylerin sayısı sınırlı. Blog yazma işi henüz günlük yapılacaklar listesinde yerini alamadı. En kısa zamanda bu ortama girmek ve devam edebilmek istiyorum, bakalım :)

First let me tell you about myself. Hi I'm Sema and I am from Turkey. I live in İstanbuI (I♥İstanbul) and I gratudated from Business Administration. Now I am working in private company. I love my job but at the same time I love to create handmade gifts for people ♥ I especially enjoy seeing the little stars in their eyes when they learn it is handmade by me. Right now I have more time to create and I opened a shop in Etsy for selling my own handmade designs. My shop name is Zuzu's World
