Needle Lace Oya Necklace

Nowadays, many Turkish women make needle lace themselves. They know many different lace techniques. Turkish lace work created all over Anatolia since 17th century. This work reflects Anatolian women's patience, creativity and devotion


Young people enjoy wearing bracelets, necklaces, earrings and belts. Older people may, out of tradition, put away oya laced bed linen, towels and prayer head scarves in a classical bridal trousseau for their daughters.


This beautiful necklace's color are purple, lilac and yellow. Flowers are made of high quality yarn, each flower made by using a sewing needle and then connected to each other with a crocheted cord. The crochet cord connecting the flowers is green.
